Courtney I. Hathaway, MD

Courtney Hathaway .jpg

Dr. Courtney Hathaway grew up in Potomac, MT on her family's cattle ranch. From a very young age Dr. Hathaway knew she wanted to go into medicine. Falling in love with anatomy and science while dissecting cow hearts in the 4th  grade, she told her parents she wanted to become a doctor that same day!

She graduated from Hellgate High School, Go Knights!, and went on to Montana State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in cell biology and neuroscience. Dr. Hathaway received her MD from the University of Washington School of Medicine where she was part of the WWAMI program and her Family Medicine training was completed at North Colorado Family Medicine Residency.

From there, she and her family moved to the Kansas City area for three years, before returning home to Montana. Now back in The Big Sky state, Dr. Hathaway and her husband Jeff, who also grew up in Missoula, are taking over the family cattle ranch. They have three beautiful children, Cooper, Elizabeth and Madeline, and love being able to raise their family right here in their hometown.

Family Medicine is not only Dr. Hathaway’s specialty, it is her passion. She loves getting to know her patient’s stories and caring for them from birth through adulthood. She has particular interests in newborn care, pediatrics and adolescent medicine, sports medicine and fitness, Women’s health and family planning. When she’s not working in the clinic, Dr. Hathaway enjoys hiking and camping, reading, spending time with the animals on the ranch, and cooking for her friends and family.
